Prior to booking this home I was wiery because I could not find any reviews and I promised if I rented I would write one to help the next perspective renter..and if your it than your in luck because upon my return I feel an obligation to express what pictures do not tell about Le Chateau!!This house was by far one of the most incredible on the entire island, for any price! First, location- the photos do it no justice!!You are literally nestled in the national park. Be weiry of renting other homes near populated areas such as Cruz Bay- as the neighborhoods are busy and clustered and do not compare to this estate. The grounds were impeccably landscaped.. winding flowering vines, lime trees, palms and all manor of foliage created a sureal type paradise which even on the last day of my trip I still was not accustomed to viewing! Next, the house-WWOOOOWWW!!! Again, the pictures do no justice, each artifact from the mahogony wood, to the columns and arches to the sea stone throughout is unique and amazing, the verandas, of which there are many, are exceptional and the architecture overwhelmingly beautifull. The furnishings are equally exquisite, no single artifact right down to the coasters was overlooked. I cannot express the sence of serenity we enjoyed -strolling out on the verandah to enjoy a morning view unrivalled by anything Ive ever seen. I challenge any multi million dollar estate to produce such vistas!! A soak in the large jacuzzi in the evening was equally soothing, I found I never wanted to leave the house, and on an island as beautifull as St.John thats saying a lot. This home was not a home but a retreat, a mini mansion crafted with the closest attention to detail. It was truly an overwhelming gift to be able to experience this property. I especially loved the master shower which was stone/shell and glass, looking over the impecably landscaped grounds. I always felt I would be uncomfortable with an outdoor type shower, but on the contrary-one feels as if they are secluded, a part of nature, with paradise to themselves. Another surprising detail of the home which is not described in the summary is the lower level bedroom, which I assumed would simply be the "less than master" suite. Was I wrong!!!, its like a mini-apartment. It enjoys its own gorgeous sitting den, like a cavern carved into the stone which is absolutely unreal, and a kitchenette, which really makes it special. Personally I couldnt decide which bedroom I loved more, since what the master bedroom gains in views, the other bedroom makes up for
